Frank's Restaurant and Frank's Outback are institutions offering indoor and outdoor dining. Frank’s first opened in 1988 on the site of Marlow’s Supermarket, which had been in business for 40 years. Live music accompanies diners on weekends. Walk-ins are welcome in the courtyard and rock garden, and you can also make reservations.

Of course, the annual Pawleys Island 4th of July Parade is a can’t-miss event. If you're looking to dance the night away on the beach, Pawleys Pavilion Reunion is the event for you. While you’re on Pawley’s Island, keep an eye out for the Gray Man, a translucent and altruistic ghost said to predict hurricanes.
